PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA) is a certification offered by the Project Management Institute (PMI) for professionals who want to demonstrate their skills and knowledge in the field of business analysis. The PMI-PBA certification recognizes the ability to understand and analyze business needs and recommend solutions that deliver value to stakeholders.
To be eligible for the PMI-PBA certification, candidates must have at least 7,500 hours of business analysis work experience and 900 hours of business analysis education, or a bachelor’s degree and at least 4,500 hours of business analysis work experience and 900 hours of business analysis education.
The PMI-PBA certification exam is a computer-based test consisting of 170 multiple-choice questions. Candidates have four hours to complete the exam. To maintain their PMI-PBA certification, professionals must earn 60 professional development units (PDUs) in business analysis-related activities every three years.
